Oumuamua is an interstellar object that passed through our solar system in 2017. It was first detected by astronomers using the Pan-STARRS1 telescope in Hawaii. Most scientists believe that Oumuamua is a natural object, possibly a fragment of a larger body that was ejected from its parent star system. Its high speed and trajectory suggest that it came from the direction of the constellation Lyra, and that it is likely to have originated from outside of our solar system.

Oumuamua is one of this crazy discovery that could show that we are not alone in the universe, if you’re a deep believer in aliens and UFOS, we are in the same team 😉.

This uncommon object is estimated to be around 800 meters long and 80 meters wide, and has a really elongated shape, with a length-to-width ratio of at least 5:1. A very unusual shape with a reddish color that led some scientists to speculate that it could be an artificial object, such as a probe sent by an extraterrestrial civilization.

Oumuamua’s passage through our solar system was brief, and it was already moving away from the Sun by the time it was discovered. Astronomers were only able to observe it for a few weeks before it became too faint to be seen with telescopes. However, its discovery has sparked new interest in the study of interstellar objects, and astronomers are now actively searching for more of these objects using new telescopes and techniques.
